This is where the term night sweats comes from because hot flashes often occur later in the evening or early in the morning.

Layer your clothing in case you have a hot flash and need to cool off quickly
Keep the temperature in your office and home low
Drink cool beverages - water is a great choice
Exercise, preferably not close to bedtime
Limit hot, spicy food in your diet
